Data is oftentimes commercially influenced, commonly misinterpreted or under-communicated depending on where you are on the planet. As such, there can be a disconnect between data, knowledge and understanding.
The EarthX platform serves as a resource which helps to unlock geospatial data, as we realise it can be critical to inform, educate and motivate. Everything we do is driven by our mission to make location-based data more accessible, and by extension helping to make the ‘invisible, visible’.

Every user can access, view and share anything on the public platform without restrictions and without the need to download complex or expensive software.
Accessible global, regional and local data
EarthX is the data visualisation platform for everybody. We provide the platform, information architecture and easy-to-use mapping tools to make sense of all geospatial data through profound visualisations and unique storytelling technology. Use your own data or access curated libraries of open data for an array of global and regional information.
Engage with truthful, referenceable data
The EarthX platform helps to foster meaningful relationships between data providers and consumers. We are constantly working on new methods and features that enable users to receive and interpret data as the owner of the data source intended. Features such as GeoStories, as well as others in development, are a means of delivery whereby data-custodians can quite literally tell you what you need to know about their data.
Hundreds of data layers available to access
Users can securely upload proprietary data to create new Layers and GeoStories which can be made publicly accessible. Equally, the platform provides access to hundreds of historic and real-time pre-styled Layers which can be viewed in context and conjunction with other data sources.
An adaptive and dynamic platform
We are continuously updating the Layer library and open-data portals, and encourage the EarthX community to discover, contribute and share.
Using map Layers and GeoStories, EarthX encourages critical thinking, problem identification and helps users to discover solutions. For example, revealing the connections between human actions and evolutionary changes to the planet, such as population expansion and immigration.
