Product Origin is software to visualise your product provenance for your customers and stakeholders. The mapping technology allows you to graphically display the supply chain data behind a product journey. Product Origin gives you the opportunity to shape your narrative by communicating what you want to show about the locations, geography and ESG impacts when sourcing raw materials, which altogether make your product(s) so unique.

Product Origin allows you to upload your supply chain data to create Layers (or data maps), which are visual overlays of data represented on a digital globe. Layers, coupled with other visual elements to showcase your product origin data, provide a visual medium to chart and trace a product’s origins.

Visualiser

The Visualiser is what your customers will see. Our front-end technology is white-labelled so as to be seamlessly embedded on your website. From your website customers can jump straight into your product origin experience. The Visualiser includes the 3D globe or 2D map, as well as any visualised map Layers or Discoveries you create. Each map Layer also has information which describes that step of the supply and value chain. The visualiser is accessible as a web based application directly on your website which can be viewed on desktop and mobile.

Layer Creator

The Layer Creator is designed to be an intuitive process to turn your raw supply chain data into visualised Layers with minimal steps. You can upload supply chain or product data in familiar formats, e.g. spreadsheet (csv file) or standard geospatial data files. Once in the Layer Creator, the data is easy to refine, manipulate and style, with easy-to-use guided tools and immediate visual previews of how the data and product information will appear on the globe. You can also integrate multimedia content as part of Layer styling by uploading videos, audio and images of your suppliers, accreditations or production processes. Equally, you can link any point on a map Layer back to sections of your website or to third party sites, e.g. linking to a supplier’s website.

Product Discoveries

Discoveries are collections of Layers, saved together as an initial navigation point, along with location and globe position. Discoveries compile multiple overlayed map Layers and capture them in a specific view, chronology and perspective. Discoveries are the simplest way to package your supply chain data so that your customers can easily navigate a product journey. A Discovery could be a product – with the encompassing Layers including each of the raw materials. Equally, a Discovery could be a region where your product is from  - with the encompassing Layers including various provenance information relative to that area. Discoveries can be shared as URL links.
